Professor Xing graduated from Zhejiang University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1987. He obtained his Ph. Degree in physical chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry in 1995 and then stayed there to continue scientific research.

He successively served as an intern, research assistant, associate professor, professor, the leader of the research group, and director of the office. He has, as a visiting scholar, visited the Technical University of Denmark, Canadian National Research Council Fuel Cell Research Institute, Kansai Science and Technology Research Center, respectively. Professor Xing is focusing on “hydrogen energy production from renewable resources and fuel cells”.

Professor Xing actively participates in academic activities and holds multiple positions. He is the vice chairman of the Electrochemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Academic Committee of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In addition, Professor Xing is a member of International Electrochemical Society (IES).
